    Choosing a broadband plan is easy with IspChoice, as you can browse plans here to see which plans meet your needs.

    Keep these points in mind when choosing a plan:

    Try to get an indication of your usage patterns so you can select the right plan based on the amount of data you use.
    To do this Right-click the network connection icon in the System Tray and select Status. This shows the amount of data you've sent and received since you logged on.
    Some ISPs only count downloads (recieve) towards the usage limit, so you can upload (send) as much data as you want without it contributing to your limit.
    When you exceed the data limit, some ISPs slow your connection speed rather than charge you extra this is a good option rather than getting an unexpected large bill.

    Which connection type?
    There are many different types of broadband connection available, and they suit different kinds of users.

    ADSL - may be suitable if you have a landline connected.
    Cable - may be suitable if you have Pay TV at home.
    Satellite - may be suitable in remote areas or if you have a satellite dish.
    SDSL - may be suitable if you host a website or upload large files.
    Wireless - may be suitable if you don't want a cable or landline connection, also if you are renting or planning to move house they are portable.
    Mobile - may be suitable if you want broadband on the move, it uses the mobile phone network.
